Chamber Hires Jessica Wanecek as New Event Director

Longmont, CO – The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Ms. Jessica Wanecek as the Chamber’s new Event Director. The position was recently vacated by Leah Winkler who assumed the newly created Communications Director role at the Longmont Chamber.

Ms. Wanecek has managed her event business, JW Event Planning and also served as the Executive Director of the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce where she designed and managed a number of Chamber and community events in Mead, Colorado.

Wanecek said “…with 15 years in the event planning world, I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Longmont Chamber of Commerce as the new Event Director!” Ms. Wanecek begins her duties as Event Director on Monday, February 10.

The Longmont Chamber will host a full and varied calendar of business events for businesses in all industry sectors and sizes in the Longmont area in 2020. Ms. Wanecek will manage the already popular premier events such as Unity in the Community, Commerce Cup Open Golf Tournament, Jubilee Membership Celebration as well as new premier events still in the planning phases.
