Scott Cook is the CEO of the Longmont Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership, the Chamber has focused on business development, expanded events and advocacy, and a full building renovation in 2023.

Before his time at the Chamber, Scott worked as a Senate staffer in Washington, D.C., and ran a family-owned recycling business in Chicago. Originally from California, Scott grew up in Longmont after his family relocated to Colorado when his father’s job with United Airlines brought them here.

Scott currently serves on the Colorado Chamber Alliance board. He enjoys spending time with his family, being an uncle and volunteering with his church. He loves to travel and his favorite place is the place he hasn’t discovered yet. An early morning gym rat, he also competes in physique competitions.

Wendi Braden is the Membership Director for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce. Under her guidance, new members are brought into the Chamber and existing members are supported. She is the master connector! With her background in personal and business coaching with an emphasis in relationship marketing, she has keen insights for small businesses that can help them make the most of their chamber involvement. She is also the creator of the Women’s Networking group here at the Chamber.

Nathan Straubel serves as the Event Director for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, where he leads the planning and execution of the Chamber’s signature events and member experiences. With a background in marketing, events, and community engagement, Nathan brings a creative and strategic approach to building events that connect people, strengthen local partnerships, and support Longmont’s business community.

Originally from Kansas City, Nathan holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in AI Strategy and Application at the University of Denver. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, exploring Colorado, traveling, and spending time with his two cats, Prada and Sylvia.

Leah Winkler is the Director of Programs & Systems at the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, where she directs Leadership Longmont, the Chamber’s community leadership program, and builds the project management systems, workflows, and dashboards that help the team do its best work. A graphic designer, video editor, and creative strategist, she also maintains creative oversight of the Chamber’s brand and promotional materials.

Leah’s background spans tech startup acceleration, leadership education, and communications strategy, and she brings that range to her work every day in a city she genuinely loves. As Event Director, she led the transformation of Unity in the Community into the street festival it is today. Her work has been recognized nationally, earning the 2025 Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Award for Communications Excellence and Best in Show.

Frances Forbes serves as Operations Manager, bringing sharp organizational instincts and a methodical approach to the wide range of responsibilities that keep the Chamber running smoothly (including being our coffee goddess,) from billing and renewals to conference room scheduling and everything in between. Outside of work, she’s most at home curled up with her sweet beagle and learning more about history.

A Longmont native through and through, Kat returned home in 2022 after earning her degree in Media Arts and Journalism from the University of Montana. She brings a creative eye and a passion for storytelling to everything she does and when she’s not behind the scenes keeping things running smoothly (and being the Scott Whisperer™,) you’ll likely find her playing video games with friends, crafting away, or keeping up with the latest in K-pop girl groups.

Jordan Sanchez is a lifelong Coloradan with years of experience in Colorado’s political ecosystem. Jordan grew up in the small rural town of Leadville, Colorado surrounded by her large Latino/Hispanic family. Jordan now lives in Longmont, Colorado. Jordan’s policy career began in 2017 interning for Colorado lobbying firms and policy research organizations. After years focused on policy, Jordan found her passion for building coalitions and bringing ideas across the finish line. In 2022, Jordan founded Sanchez Policy Works to continue achieving client goals that benefit all Coloradans. Regardless of the issues, Jordan is dedicated to fostering honest communication and exemplifying relentless advocacy.

Keri Cotterman is Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Giveio. She is the kind of marketing strategist who walks into a room and immediately finds the most unique and captivating story to tell. A nonprofit champion and brand builder, she is known for transforming ideas into immersive experiences and campaigns that connect on a human level.

Keri’s superpower goes beyond creativity. She brings a sharp tactical mind to every project. From planning unforgettable events to crafting highly personalized and creative campaigns, Keri shows up with heart, strategy, and just enough edge to keep things interesting.

As Development Project Administrator, Jeremy’s role is to help identify and resolve project challenges, coordinate communication among City departments and outside agencies, and work with leadership when review timelines begin to fall outside established performance targets to help resolve issues and keep projects moving forward. The position also helps identify and implement process improvements to make the development review process more predictable, efficient, and effective.

Hailing from the frozen North of Minnesota, Genevieve (Gen) moved West to Boulder, CO to earn a business degree. Drawn to understanding what drives business growth and customer behavior, she quickly developed a passion for connecting market insights with real-world strategy. In 2016, Genevieve co-founded a boutique research and analysis firm, Reach Solutions Inc., with her partner in both business and life, Evan Ritson. With over a decade in sales and customer-facing roles, Gen is the face and charisma of Reach, as well as its creative architect. Her ability to build authentic relationships and uncover the “why” behind customer decision-making helps transform complex market challenges into actionable opportunities.

To give back to the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs, Genevieve serves as the Chamber Student Network liaison between students, businesses and the communities they serve. Passionate about helping young people build confidence and meaningful connections, she works to teach the importance of networking, professional relationship-building, and community involvement early in their careers.

Outside of work, Genevieve loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking and skiing. When she’s not enjoying the outdoors, Genevieve is an avid reader and enjoys getting lost in a good book. Originally from the Halloween Capital of the World (look it up – it’s not what you’d expect), Halloween is one of her favorite times of year! Genevieve is always looking for the next adventure, whether it’s exploring a new trail, hitting the slopes, or planning her next Halloween costume.
