What can you do at Unity?
Unity is a festival with entertainment and fun for the entire family! It is a great opportunity to get to know the businesses and nonprofits that move Longmont forward.
How did Unity start?
The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce produced the first Unity in the Community more than 20 years ago. At it’s core, Unity in the Community was built for nonprofits to be able to share their mission with the community. Five nonprofits are selected to receive a Unity Funds the Community grant, and the public gets to vote on these nonprofits to decide how extra money in the fund is allocated to the participants.
Unity Funds the Community
Nonprofit Grant Program
Unity Funds the Community was created in 2019 in partnership with the Longmont Community Foundation and High Plains Bank. All nonprofits attending Unity in the Community are eligible to apply for this grant. Five nonprofit organizations will be selected to receive a grant of a guaranteed minimum of $1,000.
In addition to the $1,000, the five selected nonprofits will get the opportunity to receive additional funds from the drink token sales at Unity in the Community will also go towards Unity Funds the Community. How will this work? Event attendees will be able to vote live for the nonprofit they want to support, and the money will be divided among the five recipients.
