If you’ve clicked around our website lately and thought, “Huh, did I just leave the Chamber site and end up somewhere else?” No, you didn’t. That’s just us. Several versions of us, actually.
Here’s what’s going on: We’re in the middle of rebuilding the site to be faster, cleaner, and (most importantly for my team) much easier to keep up to date. The end goal is a streamlined experience where you can find what you need without a scavenger hunt, and where updates don’t require us to dig through layers of digital archaeology.
Here’s the catch: We’re doing it one page at a time. So right now, some pages are freshly redesigned and looking sharp. Others were last updated before the pandemic, when we had different priorities and events that have since faded into memories.
The Chamber website is designed and built in-house by exactly one person (hello, that’s me). I also do a whole lot of other work for the Chamber, which means the site gets my attention in between everything else. It’s a labor of love, with a heavy emphasis on “labor.”
So here’s my ask. First, bear with us. The mismatched look is temporary, and every page we update brings us closer to a site that actually looks like it belongs to one organization. Second, be my extra set of eyes. If you find something that doesn’t work, especially a broken link, please let me know at lwinkler@longmontchamber.org. Tell me what page you were on and what went sideways, and I’ll get it fixed. Screenshots are also very helpful!
Thanks for your patience, your sense of humor, and your help. The new site is coming together, one page at a time, and it’s going to be worth the wait.
