Join Northridge Elementary students on Saturday, September 30 at 1200 19th Ave., Longmont CO 80501, as they hold their first Student-Led Farmer’s Market!  Kids will be selling roasted peppers, fresh produce from Longmont area farms, Colorado-grown pinto beans, and decorative mini-pumpkins!  The proceeds go to start-up costs for an on-site garden to be planned, built, planted and maintained by Northridge Elementary students.  Chef Jody Popma will be leading an interactive cooking demo, where kids will make their own salsa at the salsa bar.  We invite the community to this fun, healthy event! Fill a $5 or $10 bag, or buy produce individually.  Produce available includes: Roasted and fresh peppers, anaheim, jalapeno, and poblanos, apples, Colorado-grown pinto beans, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, radishes, carrots, mini pumpkins, and more!
Sponsored by the St. Vrain Valley School District and Health & Innovation through Education (HIE) whose mission is to support the health and innovation initiatives of the schools in the St. Vrain Valley School District.
