Construction has started on AltaVita Assisted Living, an upscale assisted living community in Longmont. The community will be located next to the existing AltaVitaMemory Care Centre, 800 South Fordham St., as part of their planned continuing care retirement community.
The 66,939-square-foot, two-story community will feature four residential wings with 67 rooms and 2 guest suites, as well as a common great room, tavern, large central fireplace, bistro and ice cream parlor, in addition to a main dining room with outdoor seating. A private dining room will also be available to residents.
Other amenities will include a large fitness center, spas, residential laundry rooms, a salon, lounge areas, a 2,500 square-foot general purpose room and an outdoor deck located on the second story to grill and enjoy sweeping views of the mountains. Both floors will feature wellness offices for caregiving staff and room for residents’ physicians to complete their reports and filing. Outdoor amenities will include a bocce ball court, a gazebo with seating inside, walking paths, benches for resting, a waterfall and extensive landscaping and lighting.
Residential rooms will include a kitchenette with granite countertops, stainless steel refrigerators and microwaves, with vaulted ceilings on the second level. The rooms also feature accessible vanities with motion-sensor lighting and roll-in showers in each bathroom. The community will feature 34 studios, 29 one-bedroom units and four companion suites.
